GELIBOLU,
SAROZ, CANAKKALE AREA...
Especially in May, June and July,
you can watch the sunset and the breath taking view from
the top of the hill from the both ends of Guneyli village.
You can even see crying Anzac tourists while watching the
melting sun in the sea.
You can see the castles, monuments,
museums and the sacred places where the Canakkale battle
was held within the Gelibolu National Park which is 11 Km's
away. In Gelibolu, you can visit the recently restored Mevlevihane,
Gelibolu Lighthouse, Bayrakli Dede Tomb, model of a sunken
submarine and many parapets remaining from the 1st World
War.
If you are looking for an alternative
route, you can visit Uzunkopru to see the long bridge which
is 1270 m long; you can visit Enez to see the Enez castle.
Edirne and Canakkale could be some other options for daily
trips.
Saroz Bay is famous for having
one of the cleanest water on earth. Until the end of October,
you can still swim in Guneyli village, even surf in the
afternoon. The trees on the beach will be your natural shelters.
You can watch the sunset, have your meal and taste some
Turkish cousine here by the beach at the open air tea gardens.
There are boat trips every Friday
where you can swim and dive at the beautiful bays and see
the rich underwater habitat.
